Your Therapy and Covid-19: Update

Since the beginning of the Covid-19 outbreak in 2020, we have been working hard to provide you with the emotional support you’ve needed during this unprecedented time of stress, unrest and uncertainty. We are pleased to have been able to continue to provide you with the personal, couple and family therapy you’ve needed in an on-line and, since May 19th, 2020, in-person format.

In order to continue the provision of in-person appointments at our clinic, we remain committed to providing an environment that is safe for you, as well as for our team. To this end, there are some steps we are taking to ensure your safety as well as the safety of our team.

Our clinicians will be staggering start times for our appointments by 15 minutes so that you will not be placed in a situation to interact with other visitors to our office. In order for this to work, we ask that you arrive for your appointment on time, but not early. If you arrive at the Stewart Centre a few minutes before the start time of your appointment, we ask that you wait in your vehicle until just before your appointment begins. Give yourself enough time to use the rest room, and have a member of our team fix you a coffee, tea, or water. Please use hand sanitizer upon your arrival. Some will be provided for you. If you are experiencing cold or flue like symptoms, or have had close contact with someone who has, do not come to the office for your appointment. We are happy to provide your therapy on-line.

We are committed to providing you with a safe and sanitary office setting. Seating areas, drink station, door knobs, rest room keys and surfaces will be sanitized at regular intervals. All of our therapists have received at least their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine. If you are bringing your child in for therapy or are a support person for someone receiving therapy, you are welcome to wait for them in our office. The seating area will be arranged to encourage safe distances. Masks are required in our waiting area.

If you have questions about your appointment or would like to discuss your options for therapy with your counselor, please do not hesitate to contact him or her. We are committed to providing you with the safest possible environment for your personal and relationship care.

Sincerely,

Your team at The Okanagan Relationship & Wellness Centre

Helping Families and Couples

build Healthy Relationships

We are wired to connect with, and to depend on one another.

It is how we grow and exist

Relationships naturally cycle through periods of connection, disconnection and repair. It’s through this process that they grow stronger.

Sometimes we get stuck in disconnection and lose our sense of togetherness and security.

In spite of concerted efforts to reconnect, preserve closeness, and reduce conflict, the wellness of our most important relationships can begin to feel out of our control.

At the Relationship Wellness Centre we know the road map to help you get your most important connections back on track. You can be assured that help is available for you and your family to feel secure, loved and loving.

We specialize in professional therapy services for families, individuals,  Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy as well Hold Me Tight workshops.
